Godrej Bandra Bay Unveiled With Floating Logo Over the Arabian Sea

Published

Godrej Properties has unveiled Godrej Bandra Bay with an unusual display: a logo formed on the Arabian Sea, floating off Bandra Bay in Mumbai. The installation, marked on 28 October 2026, was built as a 30,000 sq ft illuminated canvas made from more than 2,500 eco-friendly pontoons, placing the developer's name on the water in front of the city's western coastline.

The structure was lit by 250 halogen lights and powered by 15 floating generators. A team of 50 people worked round the clock over three days to assemble it. The campaign concept was created by OAP Mediatech, and the launch carries the tagline ‘Your Sanctuary by the Bay’. The project sits on Bandra Reclamation in Bandra West, facing the sea beside the Bandra-Worli Sea Link.

Project details and registration status

Godrej Bandra Bay has been registered with MahaRERA in phases. Phase 1 was registered on 3 September 2026, while Phases 2 and 3 were registered on 4 September 2026. The developer's project page lists 4 BHK homes and shows pricing on request. Possession is targeted for November 2033 for Phase 1 and October 2035 for Phases 2 and 3.

The sea-facing installation is one of the more visible launch efforts seen on Mumbai's coastline in recent months, and it follows a series of public works on the same stretch of waterfront.

Bandra Bay in context

Bandra Bay refers to the coastal stretch along the Arabian Sea adjoining Bandra West. It lies between the Mahim Causeway and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, on reclaimed coastline at Bandra Reclamation. The area is well connected to the Sea Link, the Western Express Highway, Bandra railway station and Carter Road, with the Bandra-Kurla Complex nearby.

Road access improved with the opening of Coastal Road Phase 1 in March 2024, a 10.58 km section running from the Princess Street flyover to the Worli end of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. Metro Line 3 Aqua, which opened in 2025, runs about 2.3 km from the project site.

A 2025 industry study estimated that nearly 8 million sq ft of premium residential and retail projects are planned across Bandra Bay, with development potential above ₹1 lakh crore. Several large developers, including L&T Realty, Valor Estate, Oberoi Realty, Wadhwa Group and Godrej Properties, have redevelopment plans under way in the stretch.

The developer

Godrej Properties Limited, listed on the BSE, is the real estate arm of the Godrej Group. The company was established in 1990 and says it was the first real estate company in India to earn ISO certification. Its projects span more than 15 cities and cover over 21.7 million square metres.

The company's Godrej BKC project in the Bandra-Kurla Complex received LEED Platinum certification in December 2016 and is among the larger luxury commercial developments in Mumbai. Amitesh Shah, CEO of the Mumbai MMR region, is the company's senior representative for the city's current waterfront work.

Godrej Properties has recently worked alongside the BMC and RC Group on the Bandra Bay promenade. Deputy Municipal Commissioner Vishwas Mote said the aim is to make Bandra's waterfront more vibrant and usable for citizens.

What comes next

Phase 1 of the Bandra Bay promenade began in early October 2026. It includes a bayside walking track, a landscaped garden with lawns, and a lifestyle hub with a pet park, a literature zone and an amphitheatre. A pedestrian corridor along LK Mehta Marg was inaugurated on 11 October 2026 by Ashish Shelar, MLA for Bandra West, with the BMC and Godrej Properties participating. A press release on the first milestone of the Bandra Bay transformation followed on 15 October 2026.

Phase 2 of the promenade will add a mini golf course and a dedicated activity and sports zone. For the residential project itself, the next markers are the phased possession targets of November 2033 and October 2035. Further details on the residences are available on the Godrej Bandra project page.
