Sector 79, on Gurugram's Southern Peripheral Road, is one of the few Gurugram sectors where Godrej Properties has built a cluster rather than a single address. Across three separate parcels here, the developer has brought Godrej Aria, Godrej 101 and Godrej Arista to market, each launched in a different cycle but sharing the same stretch of road, the same Aravalli backdrop and the same New Golf Course Road access. Sector 79 sits along the Southern Peripheral Road, which connects Golf Course Extension Road to National Highway 8, which is why a developer building at scale in Gurugram chose to return to this sector more than once instead of scattering single projects across the city.
Godrej Properties was established in 1990 as the real estate development arm of the Godrej Group, a diversified Indian conglomerate founded in 1897. Its first project, Godrej Edenwoods, was signed in Thane in 1991, with the Cypress building delivered in 1994. In 2010, the company went public following an initial public offering that raised approximately US$100 million, and since 2012 it has been led by Executive Chairman Pirojsha Adi Godrej, a fourth-generation member of the Godrej family. Today the portfolio covers residential, commercial, township and plotted developments across 12 cities, including the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Pune, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Gurugram, Noida, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Nagpur and Kochi. In FY25 alone, the company employed around 2,391 people and reported pre-sales of ₹29,444 crore. The Sector 79 cluster is a small but recognisable piece of that national footprint, and it sits in the same city as one of the company's more recent large NCR launches: Godrej Astra on Gurugram's Golf Course Road, which recorded sales of around ₹1,000 crore at launch.
Godrej Aria was the developer's first move into Sector 79. It is a residential project with 6 towers spread across 7 acres of land, amidst 2.5 acres of landscaped courtyards, offering apartments for sale in Sector 79, Gurgaon, among the newer addresses for homebuyers at the time of launch. Homes are positioned to face the Aravallis, with green spaces covering roughly 80% of the development, across 6 towers on 7 acres with 2.5 acres of landscaped courtyards. The project sits close to NH8 on New Golf Course Road, with proximity to golf courses, restaurants and hotels including the Hyatt Regency.
Godrej 101 followed on an adjoining parcel. It is built on 10.5 acres of land and has 7 towers, and sits close to the Aravalli hills. Its identity comes from its amenity count: the project is built around a vibrant community with over 101 amenities, spanning health, recreation and skill-building facilities, a theme reflected directly in its name. It is located on Golf Course Road, positioned for connectivity to the National Highway, the airport and the metro. The project is certified by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), consistent with the company's sustainability practice described below.
Godrej Arista is the most recent of the three. Spread across 5 acres, it comprises 3 high-rise towers of 14 floors each, with 170 units offered as 3 BHK apartments, starting at a size of 2,125 sq.ft. Units are designed with views of the Aravallis, built around a clubhouse and 2.5 acres of landscaped gardens, with buildings open on three sides for light and airflow. The project is roughly 2.5 km from NH8 and about 8.5 km from the Dwarka Expressway, keeping it within the same SPR-NH8 access pattern as its two neighbours.
The three projects share a location logic rather than a single design language. SPR, National Highway 8 and the upcoming Dwarka Expressway enhance the area's real estate value, and the sector has direct connectivity to SPR, Golf Course Extension Road, Dwarka Expressway and Sohna Road, with roughly a 5-minute drive to NH-8 and a 30-minute drive to the airport. HUDA City Centre Metro Station is the nearest metro station, linking Gurugram and Delhi, while daily needs are served locally: Park Hospital and Medeor Hospital both serve the sector with modern medical facilities, and schools such as Jhankar Senior Secondary and Mount Olympus operate within the sector. The Godrej projects here are also surrounded by four golf courses, a detail that recurs across all three developments' marketing precisely because it is geographically true of this stretch of Sector 79.
Buyers evaluating any of the three Godrej addresses in Sector 79 are, in effect, evaluating the company's broader delivery model. Every project launched by Godrej Properties since 2010 has been a certified green building, and the company has ranked among the top listed residential developers globally on the GRESB sustainability benchmark, including the number-one position in 2020, 2021 and 2022. The company executes projects through specialised in-house verticals and named subsidiaries, a structure that shortens decision cycles and keeps design, sustainability and construction quality under direct control. That national practice is what shows up locally as IGBC certification at Godrej 101, rainwater harvesting at Godrej Aria, and consistent clubhouse and open-space ratios across all three Sector 79 developments.
