Senior Leadership Transition at Godrej Properties

Godrej Properties Limited has announced a strategic reshuffle within its senior management team, effective July 1, 2026. The changes were disclosed pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI Listing Regulations.

Makhijani's Departure

Mr. Lalit Makhijani, Chief Sales, Marketing and Customer Centricity Officer, has tendered his resignation effective from the closure of business hours on June 30, 2026, to pursue new professional opportunities outside the company. Having spent a decade with the company, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to lead Revenue and Customer Centricity functions.

Internal Promotions Step into Vacant Roles

Following this transition, Mr. Subhasish Pattanaik, currently serving as Zonal CEO – West East, has been appointed as the new Chief Sales, Marketing and Customer Centricity Officer effective July 1, 2026. Mr. Pattanaik, already a member of the GPL Management Committee, has led the West East Zone with focus on execution and business development. Under his leadership, Pune continues to be a city where GPL maintains market leadership position. He joined the company in 2008 and has served across various roles including Business Head for NCR 1, Region Head for South Zone 1, and Sales & Marketing Head for South Zone.

Additionally, Mr. Mayank Poddar, presently Head – Strategic Initiatives, has been appointed as Zonal CEO – West East from July 1, 2026, completing the management restructuring process.

Strategy of Internal Development

The reshuffle underscores Godrej Properties' approach of advancing seasoned internal talent into senior roles. In July 2025, the company made other senior role changes, including a new COO and a Zonal CEO for MMR, after previous resignations. This pattern reflects a broader focus on continuity and institutional knowledge retention within the organization.
